“Improving Lives for a Better Society”
New World Supports understands that it is important for you to choose where you want to live and who you want to live with. You may choose to live on your own or you may choose to live with others in a shared house. You may need support for a few hours per week to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
New World Supports has various accommodations available in London but if any of these are not suitable to you we can help you find a home.
We support people with a variety of needs including people with a learning disability, Autism, Drugs & Alcohol Misuse, physical disabilities, mental health conditions and people with more complex needs.
In supported living people are supported to take control of their own life, make choices and be as Independent as they can be.
Some of the things that we can support you with are:
01
LEARNING DISABILITY
A learning disability is when an individual has a reduced ability to understand information. Individuals with a learning disability can also find it difficult to communicate and can affect their independence.
Statistics suggest that around 1.5m people have a learning disability in the UK. READ MORE
04
Physical disabilty
New World Supports believes everyone, no matter what their ability, has the right to become a full and active member of their community. Those individuals are recognised as equal and can enjoy the same life opportunities, chances and rights as their non-disabled peers and neighbours.
02
Mental health
Supported living helps individuals who require additional support in managing their mental health to remain independent within their own homes and communities.
05
Drug & Alcohol Misuse
Our accommodation, support and care services support people to make positive changes to their lives. Our highly trained staff are dedicated to making a difference to individuals regardless of whatever circumstance they may be in due to the use of drugs and alcohol.
03
Autism
Our support for autistic people is designed around your needs, interests and preferences and we encourage feedback from you about the work we’re doing.
06
Respite Breaks
Whether you are looking for an overnight stay, a placement for a few weeks or even longer, our respite care can deliver the level of support you need.
10 Tredegar Terrace, Bow. E3 5AH
New World Supports encourage all the people we support to have an active role in all aspects of their care and everyday living. We want you to support us with making the right decisions on how our services are run.
You can get involved in such things as:
In residential care you are a resident in the care home, there is a more standardised level of care. You would have little involvement with choice about your support. This type of care may affect your benefits and the amount of disposable income you will receive.
In supported living you would have a tenancy agreement where you would have more control and involvement with the tenancy and choice of where you live. You would have more involvement, for example, who you would like to live with, choice about your support staff and the times they support you. Residing in supported living your benefits would continue with no restrictions of where you live this may give you a more disposable Income.
Choosing supported living or a residential home is a personal choice and it depends on what you are looking for, your needs, wishes and goals.
